FYI: Docs Editor Home Screens
To easily find or create the right file at the right time, you can use the new Docs editor home screens. The home screens serve as a central place to collect your documents in Docs, your spreadsheets in Sheets, and your presentations in Slides. From here, you can view and edit your Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as any Office files that you own or that have been shared with you.
Access your Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
To create or work with your files, you can access each of the home screens at the following web addresses:
All your files are all still stored and available in Google Drive, but creating, viewing, and editing your documents, spreadsheets, or presentations is now quicker and easier using the new home screens.

Create with the click of a button
Click the + button in the bottom-right to start a new document in Docs, a new spreadsheet in Sheets, and a new presentation in Slides.
Quickly find the right file
Type in the text box to search for your file, sort your files by clicking the Sort icon, or search your folders and non-Google files (for example, .doc) by clicking the File picker to browse through your Drive files and folders.

Click the Menu in the top-left to switch between Docs, Sheets, and Slides, or see all of your files in Google Drive.
